A Curriculum That Meets You Where You Are
At UMA, we focus first on speaking and understanding the language naturally. Just as children learn to speak before they learn grammar, we believe fluency starts with real conversation and listening. Once a strong foundation is built, we then introduce the rules of the language — using examples from the Qur’an to deepen both comprehension and connection. This method helps students develop confidence in speaking, while gradually building their knowledge of grammar and structure in a meaningful, faith-based way. At Uma, we assess each student across four key Arabic skills — Reading, Writing, Listening, and Speaking — to ensure you're placed at the right level. After learning about your previous experience and personal goals, we recommend a curriculum that suits your needs and supports your growth.
